Quenching Love

What have I done?

Why did I forget the fire of love that burned upon my heart?

Why did I listen to the world that knew nothing about true love?

Quench not love when you find it.

Recognize it for what it’s really worth,

and not according to what others say.

My greatest moments of love

are those moments

I did not even expect,

when I was moved to tears

by a love

that seeketh

and findeth

me.
