I’ve realized that there is one thing that can make a difference in our prayers: to pray with hope. Without hope, we pray as though we are merely trying to relay our woes, as though we are alone. With hope, our prayer becomes alive, they become empowered! We pray as though we have already received the blessings we’re praying for, and our hearts are filled with gratitude as our mouths are filled with praise. God be merciful and give us the hope we need to lift our hearts in prayer.
