Our Greatest Triumph

truetriumph

Our greatest triumphs are not always won in moments when we are strongest or most confident. Many times, they are won when we feel we are weakest or most vulnerable. –Jocelyn Soriano

It is easy to smile when problems don’t come our way. It is easy to give something when we ourselves are not in need. It is easy to hope when you are not in despair. It is easy to love for as long as you are also loved.

It is in moments of weakness that our faith is truly tested. It is in moments of pain that our loved is purified as through fire.

When everything seems against us, and when every spark of hope seems gone, and we are still able to choose to believe, it is then that we have reached true triumph. When we get nothing for all the love that we have given, when all we get is silence for all the good we have done, and still we continue to do every good we can for the sake of those we love, it is then that we have become truly human and truly a friend of God.

Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong. – 2 Corinthians 12:10, WEB
