Look Ahead

finishline2

No one reaches the finish line by always looking back. – Jocelyn Soriano

To keep on looking back is to fail to see what lies before you. It is to hang on to what has already passed and to keep your hands so full you can’t receive anymore the rewards waiting ahead.

It is good to remember the lessons we have learned along the way. But it isn’t wise to live our days as though our lives have already ended at some point in the past.

What you have gained long ago is already yours. Don’t lose the things you can still achieve.

There are people who are waiting for you to go on, who will be happy to see you dream again and achieve those dreams.

There are so many people you can still bless with your smile. But they will wait in vain, unless you are willing to let go of your tears.

“No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for God’s Kingdom.” – Luke 9:62, WEB

“Escape for your life! Don’t look behind you, and don’t stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be consumed!”… But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. – Genesis 19:17,26 WEB

One reply on “Look Ahead”

No, Joyce, we cannot allow looking back to close our hands to the promises God has for tomorrow. We must wake each day with arms opened wide, to receive His presence and promises for the time ahead.
Love and blessings!
