Something Good Can Happen

somethinggood

We can never have too much confidence in the good God who is so powerful and so merciful. We obtain from him as much as we hope for. -St Therese of the Child Jesus

Something good can happen today! Let not your hopes vanish, but let it be strengthened. For we know not what will happen next.

Yesterday was full of troubles, and we cannot see how such can cease. But let not what happened before fill you with thoughts of gloom. Let it not rob you of the good things that can still take place.

For God’s mercy is new every morning. Every day He makes the sun to rise. He upholds our every breath! Will He not save those whom He loves? Will He withhold any good thing from those who look forward to His compassion?

Something good can happen today. Begin your day in prayer. The answer you’ve been waiting for may come tomorrow, or it may come this very day!

“Don’t remember the former things,
and don’t consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing.
It springs out now.
Don’t you know it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness,
and rivers in the desert…
because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert,
to give drink to my people, my chosen,
the people which I formed for myself,
that they might declare my praise.”
-Isaiah 43:18-19, WEB
