I work as an internal auditor while pursuing my passion in writing novels, screenplays, poems and inspirational stories.  I also dig deep into spiritual and religious mysteries and gladly share my discoveries and insights right here at ITAKEOFFTHEMASK!

MY GIFT

I am a highly sensitive person (HSP).

I can easily feel another person’s feelings as though I’m the one feeling his pain, his wound, or his joy.

I feel intense joy in appreciating the simple things in life- everyday things, the beauty of nature, music, the smile of a child, the touch of someone I hold dear.

But I need to retreat once in a while in a solitary and peaceful place to neutralize the noises of the world that often stress me out and exhaust the energy of my spirit.

I am not easy to understand, yet it is my gift to be able to understand many things.

Some even attribute the sixth sense to hyper-sensitivity, to which I wouldn’t be so surprised.  I myself have experienced several dreams that have come true in real life.  Its like you have an antennae that easily catches signals for you to interpret and use.

I believe I’ve also had occassions of OBE or out of body experiences, valuable experiences which affirms my belief in the after life and on things we cannot explain at the moment.

 

INTERESTS

In spite of all that, I’m a practical and grounded person and enjoy many simple things in life.  I have a knack for gadgets and for discovering how a thing works, interests that have helped me set up my own website and garnered several articles with page rank number one on google :-)

I am also a bookworm and I’d gladly share with you books I’ve found of merit.  For those already in the public domain, watch out for free downloads I would make available here.

I’ve set up this website because I wanted to read something like it, a simple site that inspires me as I go along my day to day life.  I also want to offer friendship to an infinite number of people, people I’ve never even met, people who may just be like me, looking for somebody to tell stories to, to chat with, to share their precious discoveries with.

I hope you’d feel at home in here.  Do share with me your suggestions, or other things our other friends would enjoy.

Jocelyn has already published her book entitled “Lighthouse”, (finalist in a national screenplay writing contest).  She loves early mornings, chatting over a cup of coffee, walking along the beach, and singing her heart out with her best buddies.  :-)

LIFE STATEMENT

I will go through this life only once,

and I shall have but one chance to live;J

Not all people will like me,

others may even despise me,

as I may not be easily understood;

Yet I will take this chance to live,

and I will reach out in ways I know;

I will love those whom I can,

and I will strive to understand them more;

Not all days will bring me sunshine,

so I will rejoice also for the rain;

Not every endeavor will be a success,

but I will savor the victories I achieve;

Not all dreams I dream will be mine,

but in time new dreams will fill my heart,

and as from a star those hopes

will propel me forward

doing everything the best way I know I can;

No fear shall trample me whatsoever,

though some tasks seem to outweigh my strength;

I will only do what I have to do,

and God will take care of the rest!
