What Destiny Awaits You?

For how long can you be happy in this life?

For how long can positive thoughts sustain you?

Will you be able to escape the aging years ahead?

Will you be able to escape your death?

Will you be able to escape the death of those around you

and bear the pain of their passing away?

Will you not grieve when your loved one passes away?

Will you not miss them?

Where shall you find your comfort in the end?

Shall you find it in the thought that they are not really gone,

but shall take on new personalities someday, somewhere, in another lifetime?

Personalities that knew you not

Personalities that have not your memory

nor the remembrance of your love

Shall you find comfort that they might go unto the Absolute

somewhere where all shall finally be merged as one,

energies pulsating, being absorbed unto the whole,

mere energies that sink and rise without end

without form

without persons you’ve wanted to love and to be with forever

No, you shall not.

You cannot

and even if you say you can,

you would have lost this one thing:

You would have lost

what true love

really means

Where Do We Find Confidence?

How beautiful must you be

so you can see yourself as beautiful?

How smart must you be

so you find the confidence to say

that you have it in you

to succeed

How much studies must you undertake

how many certificates and titles must you acquire

how many languages

how many skills

how excellent

how fast

and how creative

so you can find the security to say

that in this fast

and changing world

you are doing well

and that you are at par

with the rest

who are trying so hard

as you do

trying to please

trying to excel

trying to be the very best

where the very best

could not be found

among those who try

to be the best.

It is never enough

It never will be enough

for true confidence

could not be found

in the exaltation of the self

or in the perfection we desire

but which eludes us the more

the more we try to grasp it

Only in Jesus

do we find rest

only in Him

do we find

the strength

the purpose

and the power

to accomplish

all things

for the perfect good

of all.

The Great Tribulation – three days of darkness

The asteroid
called Apophis could hit the Earth in 28 years (year 2036).

Apophis, in Egptian myth, was the
ancient spirit of evil and destruction that was determined to plunge the world
into eternal darkness.

If it hits the earth and lands in
the Atlantic with a force almost equal to 100,000 Hiroshima bombs,
the effects would be catastrophic ranging from kilometre-high waves that would
destroy coastlines, vaporised seawater that falls as rain destroying
world crops, and a thick cloud of dust that would darken the skies
indefinitely
.

Current reports calculate
an estimate of 1 in 45,000 chance of it hitting the earth

Additional observations provided
improved predictions that eliminated the possibility of an impact on Earth or
the Moon in 2029. However there remained a possibility that during the 2029
close encounter with Earth, Apophis would pass through a gravitational keyhole,
a precise region in space no more than about 400 meters across, that would
set up a future impact on April 13, 2036.

Notice then, the similarity of the above impact to the following prophecies:

Fire and smoke will fall from heaven, and the waters of the ocean
will turn to steam
, throwing their foam to the very sky. Whatever is
standing will be overturned. Millions of people will die. Those surviving will
envy the dead. Distress, misery and desolation will be found the world over.
(Neues Europa, Our Lady’s message at Fatima)

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the
sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the
beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those
days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s
sake those days shall be shortened. –Matthew 24:20-22

[“Be not in the winter”, for if the skies would darken indefinitely,
would it not be very cold indeed?]

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened,
and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from
heaven
, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken… -Matthew 24:29

This asteroid orbits the sun once every 323 days and has about one or
two of the 16 crossover points (with Earth) every 7 Earth years that
deserves recurrent monitoring.  Who can
avert its path if it crosses ours?  The
day the angels dread may well be on its way, and man speaks of peace, wealth
and power as though his time would never come to an end.

What’s Wrong with the Forbidden Fruit of Eden?

Why did God forbid us to eat the fruit of knowledge? If it is indeed the knowledge of good and evil, why is the knowledge of good forbidden as well?

Knowledge is not bad per se. But knowledge that is apart from God, that is the source of all the evils and suffering we experience today.

We have been tempted from the very beginning. We have been offered enlightenment in exchange for love, and we took it. We didn’t know that enlightenment without love is darkness. We didn’t know that knowledge apart from God is foolishness. We didn’t know.

That is why our fall had been delayed. And that is why forgiveness had been available to men and not to angels. We have been given time. And we have been given the Ultimate Saving Sacrifice of Love. Shall we take it? Or shall we succumb to the eternal fall of living our own lives in a cold dark alley of knowledge apart from the burning love of God?

Two Worlds Apart – Where is the City of God?

Accordingly, two cities have been formed by two loves: the earthly by the love of self, even to the contempt of God; the heavenly by the love of God, even to the contempt of self. The former, in a word, glories in itself, the latter in the Lord. For the one seeks glory from men; but the greatest glory of the other is God, the witness of conscience. The one lifts up its head in its own glory; the other says to its God, “Thou art my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”763 In the one, the princes and the nations it subdues are ruled by the love of ruling; in the other, the princes and the subjects serve one another in love, the latter obeying, while the former take thought for all. The one delights in its own strength, represented in the persons of its rulers; the other says to its God, “I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength.”764 And therefore the wise men of the one city, living according to man, have sought for profit to their own bodies or souls, or both, and those who have known God “glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened; professing themselves to be wise,”—that is, glorying in their own wisdom, and being possessed by pride,—“they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.” For they were either leaders or followers of the people in adoring images, “and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever.”765 But in the other city there is no human wisdom, but only godliness, which offers due worship to the true God, and looks for its reward in the society of the saints, of holy angels as well as holy men, “that God may be all in all.”766
-City of God, St. Augustine
