And he shall be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also doth not wither; And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

I will tell of the decree: God said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee.

Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

I cry unto God with my voice, And he answereth me out of his holy hill.

I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for God sustaineth me.

Thou hast put gladness in my heart, More than they have when their grain and their new wine are increased.

In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; For thou, God, alone makest me dwell in safety.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God; For unto thee do I pray.

But let all those that take refuge in thee rejoice, Let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

All mine enemies shall be put to shame and sore troubled: They shall turn back, they shall be put to shame suddenly.

My shield is with God, Who saveth the upright in heart.

Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked; Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.

The enemy are come to an end, they are desolate for ever; And the cities which thou hast overthrown, The very remembrance of them is perished.

And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; For thou, God, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; Behold my affliction which I suffer of them that hate me, Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death.

For the needy shall not alway be forgotten, Nor the expectation of the poor perish for ever.

Because of the oppression of the poor, because of the sighing of the needy, Now will I arise, saith God; I will set him in the safety he panteth for.

The words of God are pure words; As silver tried in a furnace on the earth, Purified seven times.

But I have trusted in thy lovingkindness; My heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

I will sing unto God, Because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, That did seek after God

When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Then shall Jacob rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

He that putteth not out his money to interest, Nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

I have set God always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; My flesh also shall dwell in safety.

Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

I have called upon thee, for thou wilt answer me, O God: Incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

Show thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them that take refuge in thee From those that rise up against them.

Keep me as the apple of the eye; Hide me under the shadow of thy wings

Arise, O God, Confront him, cast him down: Deliver my soul from the wicked by thy sword.

As for me, I shall behold thy face in righteousness; I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with beholding thy form.

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from mine enemies

In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry before him came into his ears.

He sent from on high, he took me; He drew me out of many waters.

He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from them that hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

For by thee I run upon a troop; And by my God do I leap over a wall.

As for God, his way is perfect: The word of the Lord is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.

Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation; And thy right hand hath holden me up, And thy gentleness hath made me great.

In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun, which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion.

The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy,making wise the simple.

The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

O Lord, the king rejoices in your strength. How great is his joy in the victories you give!

You have granted him the desire of his heart and have not withheld the request of his lips.

For he has not despised or disdained the suffering of the afflicted one; he has not hidden his face from him but has listened to his cry for help.

The poor will eat and be satisfied; they who seek the LORD will praise him – may your hearts live forever!

All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations will bow down before him.

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul.

He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his names sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

The earth is the LORDs and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.

Who may stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false.

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in you I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.

No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame, but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse.

Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD.

Who, then, is the man that fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way chosen for him. He will spend his days in prosperity, and his descendants will inherit the land.

Guard my life and rescue me; let me not be put to shame, for I take refuge in you. May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you.

Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind; for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth.

The LORD is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?

Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though wars break out against me, even then will I be confident.

One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD.

For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.

Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. Teach me your way, O LORD, lead me in a straight path.

I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Sing to the LORD, you saints of his; praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts for a lifetime.
Weeping may remain for a night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.

You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent.

Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD does not count against him and in whose spirit is no deceit.

You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.

Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORDs unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in him.

No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength…But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.

I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who take refuge in him.

The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

Your love, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. You righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep.

How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.

Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.

Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desiers of your heart.

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.

The days of the blameless are known to the LORD, and their inheritance will endure forever. In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.

Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.
