Your Love – Song Cover

I would like to share my cover of  the song “Your Love”.    Although it’s obviously a love song, I have also considered it capable of relaying a higher form of love, a love towards my Creator, Redeemer and God.

Below is an excerpt of some of its lyrics followed by my personal recording of the song:

You’re the one that I can’t wait to see
With you here by my side I’m in ecstasy

I am all alone without you
My days are dark without the glimpse of you
But now that you came into my life
I feel complete
The flowers bloom, my morning shines
And I can see

Your love is like the sun
That lights up my whole world
I feel the warmth inside

Do you also know some love songs that you can consider as songs of faith in God?

Reading Glasses

I just bought my first reading glasses. A sign of getting old? Maybe. A sign of reading too much? Probably. What’s good though is when I tried it on, I can read better, see much clearer.

Isn’t it the same with life? Sometimes, we never know how much we’re missing until we get to have a better view of things. Until we had faith, for instance, a lot of things seem far too difficult to comprehend. But when we finally got to see things through faith, we saw things differently.

One day, when God takes away the veil that covers our eyes, we’d see things more clearly. We’ll see things for what they really are. In that day, we’d finally have the chance to see God’s face, and that’s when we get the chance to see what our hearts have been searching for all along.

“Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him; for we will see him just as he is.” – 1 John 3:2, WEBBE

Losing My Temper

I recently had a conversation over the Internet that made me lose my temper. I must admit it. I’m not the type with the most patience, especially when I get caught by surprise by other people’s unexpected behavior. But I have noticed something. I have noticed that people tend to be more rude over the Internet than at real life (at face-to-face encounters).

I don’t know why. Maybe there is a sense that whatever one says over the virtual world doesn’t really exist, that it isn’t quite real. Maybe there is a sense of being able to get away with it easily because you can choose to not use your real name or because you can just turn off your device or block people instantly and never get to encounter them again.

Whatever it may be, I hope we can still be courteous and respectful of others even if we are not able to see them face to face. We may be able to get away with what we say for a while, but we can never get away from who we are. We are the very witnesses to the things we say and whatever we say shapes the kind of person we become.

Why Blogging Is Dead and How It Can Live Again

I remember the first years when blogging was introduced over the internet. I really enjoyed reading other people’s posts because it’s like being able to know them as a friend. I can get a peek into someone’s daily life, into a person’s thoughts. It’s like reading a letter from a friend far away and more.

Through the years however, blogging evolved. Social media became more prominent and blogs became more focused, mine included. The usual personal tone became more formal, and what used to be a blog eventually became a website just like all the rest.

I think that’s when blogging died. When people left. When all that was left were website content catered to address only a specific subject matter instead of being the usual hodgepodge of ideas and things and thoughts that normally reflect an ordinary person’s life. Because a person is not made up of only one idea.

I may, for example, be able to write poems, but that is not all that I could do. I may also be able to sing and compose songs, but I do not sing all the time. I am also a person of faith, but faith is not limited to things that are usually seen as spiritual like praying or going to Church. A person of faith also eats and enjoys food, also sleeps, also enjoys travel, also watches movies and reads books.

All those years that my blog has forgotten these other things, I may have also forgotten other parts of myself. Now I want to remember, I want to be the whole person that I really am. For a moment, I may have set it aside, but I can pick up the pieces again. Blogging may have died, but it can live again.

Love

Follow the way of love. – 1 Cor. 14:1
