Invisible

invisible 2012

I have always been there for you,
watching over you, loving you.
All these years I have known you,
but you knew me not.

You should have known
how beautiful you were to me,
how delighted I was to see you,
to hear your story,
to watch your every step.

You should have known
you were special,
you should have known
how you were never truly alone.

I’ve tried to let you know.
I’ve tried to find the best words
to tell you.
But for some unknown reason
you’ve never truly heard
what I’ve been really trying to say.

You were always looking faraway.
you were always yearning
for someone else’s love.
O, if you only looked at me,
the one beside you
all these years.
If you only tried to let go
of the one who hurt you
and sought another heart
who will leave you not.

You could have found me.
You could have seen me.
But I had always been the invisible one.

With Love,
JESUS

Ready To Start Again

ready to start again 2012There comes a time when you feel
that you’re ready to start again.

You’ve spent enough time
looking at the past,
cherishing memories
learning your lessons,
healing the wounds that have caused you pain.

You may still feel some hurt
in some of the wounded parts of you,
you may have your regrets
and you may not have found
all the precious things you wish to carry with you.

But you move on.

One step at a time, you let go
and you release yourself from the past
that has held you captive all these years.

You may feel your heart skip a beat,
for there is still much uncertainty,
but you hold your ground
and with a firm resolve
you look ahead
instead of looking back.

And you begin to surrender,
as you begin to receive.
You welcome all the new things
life can offer you,
and all the new people
who’d welcome you in their hearts.

You become less afraid
and your courage increases
as you begin to follow your heart.

Everything has suddenly become new
and interesting
and blessed.
You see the world again
through the eyes of a child,
colourful,
magical,
and full of wondrous possibilities!

You are no longer too old for anything,
and it is no longer too late to try something else.

You hold nothing,
but you’re ready for everything,
you are just beginning
but you’re not afraid to pursue
what it is you really desire!

You are no longer the same
and you’re not afraid to change some more.
You’re no longer afraid to lose yourself
for you know who you are
and all that you have yet to gain

For the first time in a long time,
you feel free,
you feel so alive!

You’ve been prepared for this very hour,
for this very beginning,
You know there is yet much to do
but you won’t be turning back.
You only move forward,
you only hope
and trust
and believe
that you’re ready
never more ready than now
to START AGAIN!

One of the many blessings of a new day is the opportunity to start over and live a better, happier and more fulfilling life.-Joyce

It’s Just a Matter of Time

it's just a matter of time 2012

IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME

When grief looms over like a cloud,
and your heart gets broken,
and your spirit’s down,
it all seems like happiness
is but a distant dream,
and it loses its meaning
where it cannot be seen.

And we are lost where it’s dark,
without a song in our hearts,
and we couldn’t believe
it would all pass away.
If we could only hold on to a rhyme,
which could make us remember the light,
then morning might not be so far away,
IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME.

If we could imagine once more,
what joys are instore
with the rising of another day;
if we could only hear again
that gentle voice in the wind
reminding us that dawn is already near –
won’t we break out into songs
and cheer each other on
and say IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME?
Won’t we be able to bear
the darkness we are in,
knowing it couldn’t help but end
and IT’S JUST A MATTER OF WHEN!

And though the dawn is yet to come,
and the night is yet to end,
though our pain still lingers,
and our wounds are yet to heal,
we rejoice with our hopes,
as though they’ve already come,
certain that our prayers were heard
and IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME!

Why do we hide our tears from the world?

why do we hide our tears from the world 2012Why do we hide our tears from the world?

We hide our tears –

because we don’t want to appear weak

because when we appear weak, other people would avoid us

because they don’t want to be affected by our weakness

and when they leave us, we just become even lonelier than before

We hide our tears –

because we don’t want to lose our credibility

with the people who trust us and depend on us

because when they see us crying, they’d think we’re crumbling

and when we crumble, they’d have no one to lean on to anymore

We hide our tears –

because we don’t want to appear hurt

because when our loved ones see how hurt we are, they’d get hurt as well

and we don’t want to see them hurt

because we’d only get hurt the more

I’ve hidden my tears for quite a while, ‘til there came a time when I  surrendered,  and I set them free – I let them overflow, and I’ve realized, I don’t want to hide my tears anymore.

I don’t want to hide my tears anymore –

because I want to show others how much I understand their tears,

and in so doing, help them feel they’re not alone;

because I want to show one doesn’t have to be perfect all the time,

just so you can be strong;

because I want others to understand me,too, in my hurts,

trusting they can also be strong, and that they could also love me for who I am,

not for who I could be or pretend to be.

“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep contrition, and of unspeakable love.” – Washington Irving

When You Have Nothing More To Give

when you have nothing more to give 2012When You Have Nothing More To Give

Have you ever felt like you have nothing more to give
that you have given it all already
and all your strength have been used up?
You want to stop,
but you cannot stop,
for the world expects so much from you.
There are things to be done
urgent things to be addressed,
and you’re the only one who has to do everything,
everything except to find someone else
to lend you a hand.
Where do you find the strength to carry on?
Where is God when you need Him the most?
For how long must He wait and not answer?
For how long must He watch and remain unmoved?
In prayer I lift up my hands and ask
I ask for help from the only place where it could be found
O, be not long in your response to me,
do not delay,
for you are my only hope.
Rise up and save me from the wicked,
from people that mock me from my fall.
Be the strength I need when I have nothing more,
come be my light
and see me through the darkest night of all.
