I’ve always wanted to be happy. But I never knew how happy a person can really be until God’s love found me and filled me with incomparable joy!

But I have this against you, that you left your first love. – Revelations 2, WEBBE

There is no greater love than the love of God. We may not know it yet. We may not have felt it yet. But God’s love has been there for us even before we were conceived.

It is by love that He has made us. It is by love that He sustains us and gives us life.

Much of the world’s desire is to be loved for only in love can we find happiness. But many see only a foreshadowing of that One Love, the only Love that can save us and make us whole.

Human love is blessed because God Himself has granted it. But may we never think that God’s love is pale or distant or incomplete. That it isn’t as deep or as sweet or as true. Because it is! It is everything we can ever seek in human love and more, so much more.

God’s love is without a tinge of selfishness. It is pure and gentle and kind. It’s the only Love that can truly satisfy, that won’t ever leave or fail us. It’s the only Love that can heal us of our wounds.

God’s love is the most beautiful of all.

God has brought you into another day, and if you will only believe, with it comes a promise that He will carry you through and provide for all your needs.

It is because of The LORD’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. – Lamentations 3, WEBBE

Life is a series of many beginnings. We do not witness merely one sunrise, but a series of mornings that conquer the night again and again.

We may grow tired, but we are renewed. We may yield to sleep, but we are awakened. We may fall, but we rise again.

We live through many mornings that shower us with new blessings and new hope. Mornings that remind us it is never the darkness that has the final say. It is never death, but life.

Let us take heart therefore and never give up! God provides us with new strength and new opportunities each day. His love endures and is indeed more certain than the rising sun.

Christmas reminds us that we are not alone, that we have a heavenly family, and that we have been pursued in infinite love.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn’t overcome it. – John 1, WEBBE

Christmas is hope. And hope is that Light that is born amidst the darkness of the world.

In that little manger, a child was born for us. A child whose innocence is an answer to our many sins, whose frailty is a response to our pride, and whose purity is an emblem of healing for all our guilt.

Christmas comes, a day that brings peace and consolation, a moment in time where those who have lost their way could finally be found.

We all have gone astray, but God Himself has searched for us. We have failed even to ask, but He has opened the way so we can find our way home again.

It is part of life’s journey to face difficult times. But we must never lose the light of hope.

Now when John heard in the prison the works of Christ, he sent two of his disciples and said to him, “Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?”
Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.” – Matthew 11, WEBBE

Without the light of hope in God’s love, we can only look at suffering in the world with despair, despair that leads to wrath and deeper darkness. But if we can choose to look up and believe, we can find strength to make this world a better place because we know that evil will never have the final say.

Yes there is sickness, but there is a God who heals. Yes, there is injustice, but there is a God who will execute True Justice. Yes, there is death. But there is a God who came down from Heaven to die for us all so He can give us eternal life. We may have doubts. We may be hurt or even angry. But there is no other Hand by which we can find peace but God’s.

Whenever you start to lose your way, always go back to the unfailing love of God.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! – Matthew 7:11, WEBBE

We sometimes have all the wrong ideas about God. This is especially true if we only knew Him based on what other people say. But if we begin to know Him personally, we will also begin to realize many things about Him.

We will begin to see that all He ever wanted is for us to be truly happy. He wants us to be full of love because only by loving and by being loved by Him can we ever find true joy.

All our greatest striving for perfection lose their meaning if we fail to see this. This heart of God that really loves us and desires the best for us. The heart of a Father who truly cares for His children and whose joy is multiplied as He sees them beaming with gladness and gratitude, forever happy and content in His undying love.
