Is Your Relationship Based on a Checklist?

is your relationship based on a checklist

There are many relationships today founded only upon a checklist.  Each partner qualifies like an applicant qualifying for a job interview.

He is witty.  Check.

She is kind.  Check.

He is rich enough.  Check.

She is sexy enough.  Check.

But what happens when you mistakenly check qualities you should have crossed out?  What if both partners fraudulently misrepresented themselves?  Or what happens when people change?

Ooops!  The prince had just become a frog.

Ooops!  The princess had just become a witch.

Where is your relationship founded? Is it based on a mere checklist  you could easily crumple and tear apart?

Choose a good foundation.

Choose LOVE.

Are you searching for hope? Download the e-book today - "Where Hope Can Be Found". The thing about hope is that it’s a positive force that shines the most when it’s dark. When everything’s going well, we hardly notice it’s there. But when things go against us, when our dreams fade and when we see no immediate reprieve from our troubles, that’s when hope does its best work for us.

What do I say, that’s quite true for me, ate… the checklist thing I mean, and you made me wanna re-evaluate my attitude towards it.

Well anyways, I am postponing love as of the present, so there’s long time to re-evaluate 🙂

Hi Jocelyn, I was very amused by this post! It’s true this is how many people think. I tried this once but the list method doesn’t really work for me. I tend to go with the flow. Thanks for making me think about it!

@ Paul Sarcia – I guess you’re one of the lucky ones, haha. No need to rush 🙂

@Daphne – Yeah, sometimes I find the checklist is passed but something still seems to be missing, the one that’s not in the checklist! 🙂
