In our pursuit of strength and capability, it is easy to overlook the profound truth that God’s power is often most evident in our weaknesses. 2 Corinthians 12:9 offers a transformative perspective: “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Paul received this message from God in response to his plea for relief from a “thorn in the flesh”—a persistent challenge or affliction.
