When they didn’t find him, they returned to Jerusalem, looking for him. After three days they found him in the temple… – Luke 2:45-46, WEB-BE
There are times when we may feel lost. We try our very best to find our way, but we only end up becoming even more lost than we have been. We ask for directions but none could point us to the right path.
There are times also when we feel helpless. Other people may try to tell us what we ought to do and how, but we are powerless to even begin. None of those we sought could accompany us and give us the strength we need to carry on.
During such times, why not try to find your answers in God? Why not try to ask Him what others have failed to provide you? Why not go to the One who has been waiting for you all along?
We often look so long because we fail to look where all the answers could be found: in God.
Late have I loved you, O Beauty ever ancient, ever new, late have I loved you! You were within me, but I was outside, and it was there that I searched for you. In my unloveliness I plunged into the lovely things which you created. You were with me, but I was not with you. Created things kept me from you; yet if they had not been in you they would not have been at all. You called, you shouted, and you broke through my deafness. You flashed, you shone, and you dispelled my blindness. You breathed your fragrance on me; I drew in breath and now I pant for you. I have tasted you, now I hunger and thirst for more. You touched me, and I burned for your peace. – St. Augustine
