God as The Giver of Gifts

giverofgifts

“I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot; together we can do great things.” – Mother Teresa

God is the true giver. From Him comes all good things, all that can ever give us happiness. He is the author of life, the source of all created things, both seen and unseen. Without His providence, no being can continue to exist.

God indeed gives us the world and all we need to live. And in addition to this, He gives each of us a special gift, a gift that is unique only to us, to the kind of person we are. He does not give everyone the same gifts, and sometimes, this is why we sometimes ask why we are not given what our neighbors have. Only God, in His wisdom knows what gifts are fit for us, gifts that will bless not only us, but those around us. It is not for us to question His wisdom or generosity. Rather, we should thank Him for His kindness and for His love.

There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit gives them. There are different ways of serving, but the same Lord is served. There are different abilities to perform service, but the same God gives ability to all for their particular service. The Spirit’s presence is shown in some way in each person for the good of all… But it is one and the same Spirit who does all this; as he wishes, he gives a different gift to each person. – 1 Corinthians 12:4-7,11, GNT

Are you searching for hope? Download the e-book today - "Where Hope Can Be Found". The thing about hope is that it’s a positive force that shines the most when it’s dark. When everything’s going well, we hardly notice it’s there. But when things go against us, when our dreams fade and when we see no immediate reprieve from our troubles, that’s when hope does its best work for us.
