Overcome Your Fears

obstacles

Stand up to your obstacles and do something about them. You will find that they haven’t half the strength you think they have. – Norman Vincent Peale

Many times, our troubles appear bigger than they really are. From a distance, they look menacing. It’s as though they have all the power in the world to defeat us.

Once we gain the courage to face them however, we often see them for what they really are. We begin to see how they are not as frightening as we thought them to be. Sometimes they disappear. And many times, we find out we’ve already grown much stronger and bigger the moment we gained the courage to face them. We find out we’ve become capable after all in overcoming our greatest fears.

For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. – 2 Timothy 1:7, WEB

Are you searching for hope? Download the e-book today - "Where Hope Can Be Found". The thing about hope is that it’s a positive force that shines the most when it’s dark. When everything’s going well, we hardly notice it’s there. But when things go against us, when our dreams fade and when we see no immediate reprieve from our troubles, that’s when hope does its best work for us.
