A New Day Comes

A new day comes
A day when we can finally see
What really happened
To you and to me

A new day comes
It shall unveil the
battles we fought
And the victories we’ve won

It shall give us our true rewards
And our lasting crowns
For triumphs other people
Never even heard about

A new day comes
A day of healing and of peace
A day when all our troubles
Shall finally cease.

We have done all we could
We’ve gone where we’re supposed to be

A day of joy for you and for me.

IF MY BELOVED ISN’T HERE

What do I look forward to
if my beloved isn’t here?
Whom do I live for
whom do I care for
each and every day?

How do I drag my feet to move
when I know he won’t be there?
How do I smile
without seeing him
smiling back at me?

How do I listen to songs
now that all music had been a dirge?
How do I find my courage
without him needing to lean on me?

Long have I wallowed
in my emptiness
long have I travelled
in darkness

Yet the more I dwelt
upon these shadows,
the more I cursed
and the more I chased death
the more I did not find him
the farther away
he seemed to be

For my beloved is not in darkness
nor he in my most bitter grief
My beloved dwells not upon my emptiness
nor in the nightmares
tormenting me when I sleep

My beloved is light
and my beloved is joy
My beloved dwells upon those dreams
we dreamt together when my soul was whole
and the light in my eyes still bright with hope

My beloved is in my laughter
and in the peace that dwells upon my heart
My beloved is in the arms of God
who watches over me
and who seeks me constantly
until I’d have been found

And hard as it may
I would try
to find my way through my tears
to lift my eyes beyond the fog,
and maybe there
close to the glorious sun
early in the morning
when everything is new
maybe then I would find him
maybe then I’d catch a glimpse
of his beautiful smile
and maybe then I’d finally say
my beloved
my most beloved one
is here…

When You Fall

There are times when
you just feel tired,
tired of trying to fix things
tired of trying to carry on.

You tried to write that book
but it can’t be finished
You tried to record that song
but it won’t be heard

You tried to dream
but all felt hopeless
You tried to love
but no love came in return.

It’s that kind of tiredness
that won’t turn into rest
that exhaustion
of both body and soul.

It’s that kind of weariness
that you can’t just shake off
or put your mind into
so it would go away.

It never goes away
until you surrender
until you release
everything that weighs you down.

You don’t lift yourself up
you let yourself fall
you don’t beat yourself up
you forgive and you let go

You hope for someone else
to catch you
someone who will not
let you down

You are never certain
but you have no choice but to believe
Sometimes you have to let someone in
sometimes you have to trust again.

With Jesus, there is always Someone to catch us when we fall. The only question is, “Will we let Him?”

When Love Is Unseen

Sometimes
love is silent
love is distant
love is unseen.

But it doesn’t mean
That love isn’t true
Or that love isn’t there.

Sometimes
love must wait
love must grow
love must endure.

Love must prove
That it is true
So it may never
be lost again.

A Faithful Heart

God is faithful and only His love will never fail.

When will His eyes gaze upon my eyes
that tears may find no room
for sadness, but only for
overflowing joy?

yet I feel as light as air and as empty
as the clear blue sky.
This vessel has found its purpose;
the essence it was meant to contain.
Yet rescue me for I am fragile and wounded.

To gaze upon my God
