A Faithful Heart

This book is titled “Poems For a Faithful Heart” because it is a collection of poems for God,
the One with a Faithful Heart. He is the Lover who seeks us and saves us and who will never
disappoint all those who trusts in His Love.

God is faithful and only His love will never fail.

“O, how I am moved to prayer
in the presence of the Lord.
My tongue knows no word,
my lips no song,
yet I am aching to worship Him
and Him alone.
O, when will His hand take mine?
When will His eyes gaze upon my eyes
that tears may find no room
for sadness, but only for
overflowing joy?
I am here, my Lord,
helpless as a tree trapped upon the earth,
yet I feel as light as air and as empty
as the clear blue sky.
This vessel has found its purpose;
the essence it was meant to contain.
Yet rescue me for I am fragile and wounded.
If I should break before Your touch,
heal me and renew me Lord
with Your Gracious Love!”

At the foot of the cross
that’s where I want to be
To gaze upon my God
with boundless love for me

To kiss His feet pierced with nails
to worship and adore
Him who was pierced by a lance
Him who was crowned with thorns (…)

For The Countless Times

For the countless times I sinned
And you still took me in.
For the countless times I strayed
And you still held my hand
Willing to lead me back
Again and again.

For the countless times I faltered
And you never gave up
But continued to believe
That I can still get up.
For the countless times I’ve hurt you
But you never complained
And you kept on loving me

I Can’t Tell You Why

I can’t tell you why
Things must happen the way they did,
Why this terrible pain
Must now break your heart.
I can’t tell you why
God is now silent as we speak,
Why He allowed such things
To happen to His child.

But I can tell you
How He loves you so,
And how He never changed
Through all these years.
I can tell you that
Though He seems so far
In truth He is with you
And never more so near.(…)
