Don’t Give Me Any More Heartaches

Don’t give me any more heartaches,
They’re not something I could bear.
Now that I’m torn and broken,
I hardly have tears to spare.

Don’t give me any more heartaches,
I’ve had my share of pain.
And if it’s not enough to have had them,
Tell me what more is there to gain?

Don’t give me any more heartaches,
My shattered heart is yet to heal.
And if you touch it before it’s mended,
It may never learn how to feel.

Don’t give me any more heartaches.
Could you just lend a listening ear?
Just wait for me ’til the storm is over,
And tell me love will find me here.
