Cast Away Your Fears

03272014

Pray, hope and don’t worry.
Worry is useless.
God is merciful and will hear your prayer.
-ST. PADRE PIO

All shall be well, all shall be well… For there is a Force of love moving through the universe that holds us fast and will never let us go. – St. Julian of Norwich

“Hope frees us from the need to predict the future and allows us to live in the present, with the deep trust that God will never leave us alone but will fulfill the deepest desires of our heart…” – Henri J.M. Nouwen

Dear God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that my desire to please you does in fact please you. I hope that I have that desire in everything that I do. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are always with me, and you will never leave me to face my troubles alone. Amen. ~Thomas Merton

“I will not leave thee, neither will I forsake thee.” – Hebrews 13

BE AT PEACE.
Do not look forward in fear to the changes in life;
rather, look to them with full hope that as they arise,
God, whose very own you are,
will lead you safely through all things;
and when you cannot stand it,
God will carry you in His arms.
Do not fear what may happen tomorrow;
the same understanding Father who cares for
you today will take care of you then and every day.
He will either shield you from suffering
or will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace,
and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations.
-St. Francis of Sales

Are you searching for hope? Download the e-book today - "Where Hope Can Be Found". The thing about hope is that it’s a positive force that shines the most when it’s dark. When everything’s going well, we hardly notice it’s there. But when things go against us, when our dreams fade and when we see no immediate reprieve from our troubles, that’s when hope does its best work for us.

Joyce, I cannot begin to tell you how inspirational I found this today. My father passed away last week and his memorial service was yesterday. How the wisdom of these Christian giants brought me hope and peace. Thank you, my friend.
Blessings!

I would like to express my condolences to you and your family, Martha. When I read your comment, I immediately wanted to write you personally, and so I wrote you an e-mail. May God’s comforting embrace be with you and your family!
