The grass withers,
the flower fades;
but the word of our God stands forever.
-Isaiah 40:8
Whenever we encounter some problems in life, we have a tendency to see it as something lasting. Even if it is just a little inconvenience, a small offense or a slight delay from our plans, we tend to magnify it and let it frustrate the other things we still have going in our lives.
Don’t let small things ruin a great day. Don’t let little misunderstandings destroy a good relationship. And don’t let temporary disappointments discourage you from reaching your great dreams.
This, too, shall pass. Night gives way into day. Rain gives way into the sun shining even more brightly than it did before the storm.
Always try to see the more important things, those things that last. And don’t let the small sorrows in life hinder you from attaining eternal joys.
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.
— St. Teresa of Avila
Whenever you see small problems starting to ruin a great day, say to yourself – THIS, TOO, SHALL PASS. – Jocelyn Soriano
One reply on “This Too Shall Pass”
Yes! Whoever has God lacks nothing!
Great reminder for us to not allow the little things to get under our skin, but to look for God’s bigger picture and plan.
Blessings, Joyce!
