The Pain of Healing

Just when we think we’re breaking, we may be mending and being made whole again.

We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed… – 2 Corinthians 4, WEBBE

There are times when nothing seems to be going right. Everything breaks. Everything falls apart. We can’t see how things can still be the same, or how things could possibly work for the better in the end.

But such is not the time for despair. Rather, it is the time for hope. Hope that will give us the strength to keep on going. Hope that will carry us through until the first ray of light comes our way.

We may be in pain, but we shall mend. We may have fallen, but we shall rise again. And when we do, we shall be stronger and braver than we have ever been!
