God’s Help

Sometimes, just when you think you’re about to experience the worst, God sends His help and surprises you instead with all the very best!

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it. – Matthew 16, WEBBE

There are times when something that seems so easy becomes difficult, and though we thought we had the strength and the resources to draw from, they seemed barely sufficient to carry us through the task at hand.

On the other hand, there are times when despite all our fears and helplessness in facing a difficult trial, we come out of it not only unscathed but truly blessed and overflowing with gratitude for all the unexpected gifts and wonders we have received!

Before undergoing said trials, we doubted how we can overcome everything with the strength we have. We know that by ourselves, we are certain to fail, and so we asked for God’s help, invoking His assistance and trusting in His great mercy and love. We prepared with all we’ve got however, and readied ourselves to face the unpleasant, and to make sacrifices if need be.

But instead of facing hard times, we have faced happy times. Instead of being burdened, our hearts were made light! Instead of loss, we have received blessings far more than we could have ever imagined. O, how kind and generous is God. How He knows our weaknesses and how He desires us to trust Him at all times. Those who hope in Him indeed shall never be put to shame!
