One Mind and One Heart

onemindoneheart

Whoever knows it also knows that in love there is no More and no Less; but that he who loves can only love with the whole heart, and with the whole soul; with all his strength and with all his will. – Max Muller

One’s mind and one’s heart should not work against each other. Rather, both should work for the benefit of the other. We are not asked to leave our feelings in favor of our mind not should we leave all our reason in favor of our feelings. They should help us both live our lives to the full.

We are human beings with a mind that can think and with a heart that can feel. If we keep on putting off reason because we are overwhelmed by our feelings, there will come a time when even our feelings will suffer much because we have failed to make the right decision.

We are not supposed to live in fragments. We are supposed to be fully human, we are supposed to be whole.

…you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. – Mark 12:30, WEB
